A three-vehicle accident Monday in Creston caused two people to seek medical attention.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 5:40 p.m. a 2010 Chrysler 300, driven by Anthony Groumoutis, 79, of Creston, was southbound on Spruce Street at the Prairie Street intersection when it failed to stop at the stop sign. The Chrysler struck a westbound 2022 Nissan Frontier, driven by Kristina Harris, 41, of Creston, causing the Nissan to strike a 2021 Dodge 1500, driven by Brandyn Lilienthal, 35, of Creston, that was eastbound on Prairie Street. The Chrysler then hit the Dodge.
The Dodge had a running dash camera at the time of the accident. The video shows the Chrysler running the stop sign and hitting the other two vehicles causing the accident.
Groumoutis was not injured. Harris and Lilienthal were both privately transported to the hospital for possible injuries.
Damage to the Chrysler was estimated at $7,500, damage to the Nissan was estimated at $10,000 and damage to the Dodge was estimated at $20,000.
Officers requested Groumoutis be retested for his driving privileges as a result of the accident.
