Aileen I. Villalpando, 19, of Creston, was cited at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 22, in the 700 block of Lakeshore Drive for the charge of allowing an animal to run at large.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 7:15 p.m. Oct. 20, an adult male German shepherd, which belongs to Villalpando, was running loose near Maple and Mills streets.
Villalpando was cited and released at the scene on a summons to appear.

Brandie S. Whitney, 46, of Creston, was taken into custody 11:30 p.m. Oct. 22, at her residence on the charge of driving while barred.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 11:27 p.m., officers observed a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado northbound at Oak and Montgomery streets. The truck pulled into the alleyway at the Whitney residence. Officer’s had knowledge of Whitney having a barred license from previous interactions.
As officers pulled into the alley, the truck was turned off and Whitney exited from the driver’s side. Whitney was confirmed to be barred. When told she was not legally supposed to be driving, she said she was just getting off work.
Whitney was transported to the Union County Jail where she was released from after posting $2,000 cash or surety bond.
