Debra Ellen (Rasmussen) Feldhacker was born Feb. 26, 1956, to Donald Morris Rasmussen and Kathryn Vivian (Weber) in Creston. She grew up in Creston and graduated from Creston High School in 1974.
After graduation, Deb began working for Dr. Tilley as a dental hygienist assistant, a job she very much enjoyed. On Dec. 3, 1976, Deb was united in marriage to Wayne Feldhacker. From this union came three children: Ryan, Alicia and Abby. She then spent the early years as an active mother and homemaker. Later, Deb and Wayne divorced.
For a brief time, she was employed as an X-ray technician at Wellmans. Deb later excelled in her career as a bartender at the American Legion in Creston for nearly 20 years. After the legion closed, she began bartending at the Eagle’s Lodge in Creston. After her health began to decline, she retired early in 2019.
Some of the fond memories of Deb begin in the outdoors with her children where they would rock hunt and Deb would make jewelry out of their findings. She was a member of the Creston Eagle’s Lodge #1398.
Survivors include her children, Ryan Feldhacker and Alicia Lovell, both of Creston and Abby (Bryan) Maples of Albemarle, North Carolina; her grandchildren: Isaiah, Jeremiah and Gabriel Lovell and Brantley Maples; along with her nieces and nephew: Clint Veach and his children, Maddison and Jack, Heather (Val Lander) Rogers and their child, James and Robin (Jon) Cornick and their child, Jacob.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Kathryn Rasmussen; her sister Donna Crayne and her beloved granddaughter Autumn Maples.
