In a press release, CCSD Superintendent Deron Stender stated the information shared in a school board meeting regarding staff attendance was inaccurately portrayed.
The reported data for teachers and administrators included paraprofessional leaves, resulting in an incorrect portrayal of licensed staff attendance. Changes have since been made to reflect only teacher and administrator leave.
“Our intent in tracking staff attendance is to foster a positive culture and collective responsibility throughout our schools,” Stender said. “Our staff works hard and is committed to supporting all our students and their growth.”
This incorrect statistics were shared in a CNA article on Monday, Oct. 28, titled “Staff attendance in the red.”
