Graduation Ceremony plans announced

Creston High School

Creston Community High School will conduct its annual graduation ceremony at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21. One hundred thirty graduates are expected to walk across the stage in their cap and gowns to receive their diplomas.

Doors will open at 12:30 p.m.. Graduates need to arrive by 1:15 p.m. and report for line up. Seniors will proceed into the gym at 1:55 p.m. in order to begin the ceremony promptly at 2 p.m.

Bleacher seating will be available for all guests and the general public. Administrators, school counselors and board members will present awards and diplomas.

Student speakers this year will be Caitlin Bruce, Kyle Strider, Riley Wipperman and Cade Wurster. Valedictorians, salutatorian and others receiving honors will have their pictures taken in the library directly following the graduation ceremony.

Seniors will have graduation practice at 10:30 a.m. May 19. The Creston Activities Booster Club will provide donuts and juice at 9:30 am. At 9:45 a.m., graduates will wear their caps and gowns and march through the Early Childhood Center and the Creston Elementary/Middle School to celebrate with the kindergarten through eighth grade students and staff.
