Creston Community High School will conduct its annual graduation ceremony 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22. One hundred fifteen graduates are expected to walk across the stage in their caps and gowns to receive their diplomas. Doors will open 12:30 p.m. Graduates need to arrive by 1:15 p.m. and report for line up. Seniors will proceed into the gym at 1:55 p.m. in order to promptly begin the ceremony at 2 p.m. Bleacher seating will be available for all guests and the general public.
Administrators, school counselors, and board members will present awards and diplomas. This years student speakers will be Halle Evans, Brianna Fields, Peyton Gordon, Megan Pellman, Taylor Seaton, Mallory Tallmon and Josie Travis. Valedictorians, salutatorian, and others receiving honors will have pictures taken in the library, immediately following the graduation ceremony.
Seniors will have graduation practice beginning at 10:45 a.m. on May 20, that will conclude with lunch sponsored by Creston Booster Club. Immediately prior to graduation practice at 9:45 a.m., graduates will wear caps and gowns and march through the Early Childhood Center and Elementary/Middle School to celebrate with kindergarten through eighth grade students and faculty.
