Rose Acre Farms, with farms in Guthrie Center, Stuart and Winterset, is pleased to announce a $50,000 donation to the Greater Greenfield Community Foundation for the construction of a new Greenfield Swimming Pool.
“We’re glad to be able to support the Greenfield community in their efforts to build a new swimming pool. Greenfield is within a half-hour drive of our farms, and we know that some of our team members may enjoy visiting this swimming pool, especially during the hot summers,” Rose Acres Farms CEO Tony Wesner said. “We love supporting the local communities surrounding our farms and are glad to lend a hand when and where we can.”
Pool Advisory Committee member Catherine Olesen said that in 2025, the Greenfield Municipal Swimming Pool turned 83 years old. Participating in Red Cross swimming lessons, meeting friends and family at the pool and holding a responsible summer job that requires training and ensures safety are all lasting benefits of maintaining and funding a public swimming pool.
“With generous and community-minded contributors like the Rose Acre Farms family demonstrating their support in launching the construction of a new municipal pool (that will last another 83 years), other corporate and individual benefactors will follow suit,” Olesen said. “The Greater Greenfield Community Foundation, the Pool Advisory Committee and Greenfield City Council together express gratitude to Rose Acres Farms’ contribution.”
