GMU office relocating

Office will be in Downtown Generation Plant

Greenfield City Council News

Greenfield Municipal Utilities announced in a press release Tuesday that their office space will change effective Monday, June 30.

GMU’s new office location will be inside the Dowtown Generation Plant at 116 SE Jackson St. Office hours will be 7 a.m. to noon and 12:30-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. As has been the case for the past few years, there will be times when the office must be closed when Office Administrator Jessica Foster is unavailable. Officials said they do their best to ensure these closures don’t happen on payment due dates.

A drive-up payment drop box will be added in the parking lot along SE Jackson Street soon. The office entrance will be through the walk-through door on the northwest side of the building.

All contact information, such as phone numbers and email addresses, will remain the same at this time, GMU said.

“We want to thank our customers for their patience during this transition period,” officials said. “We hope to make this change as smooth as possible and will address issues as they arise.”

Greenfield City Hall will remain in its current office location.

GMU services include electric and water while questions regarding sewer, building permits, parks or the swimming pool will still be handled at city hall.
