Diane Denise Walsh and Matthew Francis Walsh were married at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Media, Pennsylvania, June 20, 2020.
The bride is the daughter of John and Donna Walsh, and the granddaughter of Linda Topliff, all of Creston. The groom is the son of Greg and Carla Walsh of Fairfax, Virginia.
The Reverend Joseph Walsh, uncle of the bride, was the celebrant at the nuptial Mass.
Bridesmaids were Angela Walsh, sister of the bride; friends Marie Ferman and Brandi Downey. Best man was Jack Walsh, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Matt Jones and Andrew Yang. Readers were Patrick Walsh and Michael Walsh, brothers of the bride; Ashley Walsh, sister-in-law of the groom. Organist was Erna Vala, photographers were Randy Opong and Araba Ghartey of Simply Supreme Photography.
A dinner reception including outdoor seating and games was held in a private residence.
The groom is a dual degree graduate of Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Music in classical guitar performance and a B.A. in Economics. The bride is a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, the University of St. Thomas with a M.A. in Counseling Psychology, Loyola University Maryland with a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. She is an assistant professor and Director of the Pastoral Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Newmann University in Aston, Pennsylvania, and a mental health counselor at a local nonprofit. The couple reside in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.
